West Georgia Tactical Shooters

The match is held at the West Georgia Youth Range in Haralson County.

Please arrive by 8:30 so we can register, walk thru and start shooting by 9:00.  Stage setup starts around 8:00. We need help and appreciate the volunteers who come out to support us. All members of the setup crew who arrive by 8:00 will receive a $5 discount on match fees.

When the match is over, each squad tears down the stage they finish on. Please stack the target stands beside the berm and put the sticks in the barrel. Please police up the bay. We need one or more guys with pickup trucks to empty full trash barrels.  We will give a $10 discount on the match fee for your help.

We encourage new shooters to grab your gear and come on out. Getting started is easy and a lot of fun! We typically have new shooters each month and everyone is more than willing to show you the ropes. You will need a handgun & holster suitable for concealed carry, a minimum of 2, preferably 3 magazines or speed loaders, 100 rounds, eye & ear protection, and a concealment garment. The match fee for first time shooters is $5.

The range is west of Atlanta about 10 miles from Alabama.

If you exit at Bremen (exit 11), go north to the intersection of 27 and 78. Turn left (west), go 3.7 miles to Landfill Rd.

If you exit at Waco (exit 9), go north on Atlantic Ave to the intersection of Atlantic Ave and Hwy 78.   Turn left (west), and it’s 2.5 miles to Landfill Rd.

From Highway 78 to the landfill gate is about 9/10 of a mile.  Landfill gate to the fork in the road that leads down to the range is 6/10 of a mile.  Landfill gate opens at 8:00. Please tell the landfill personnel at the scales that you are going to the shooting range.
